Welcome to Class2Class.org, a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) platform designed to foster global education, collaboration, education for sustainable development, and cultural exchange between teachers and students worldwide. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Class2Class.org platform, including all related tools, features, and services provided.
1.2. By registering for an account or using the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including any future modifications.
2. Users and Eligibility
2.1. The platform is designed for educators, principals, school staff, and students participating in collaborative educational projects.
2.2. Users must be at least 13 years old to register. Our site complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
2.3. Teachers and guardians are responsible for verifying the age of students before allowing them to use the platform. Any accounts created by users under the minimum age will be immediately deactivated, and associated data will be removed.
3. Account Use
3.1. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords and must report any suspicious activity or unauthorized access to [email protected] immediately.
3.2. The platform expects all users to engage in appropriate behaviour and use the platform exclusively for educational purposes. Users are responsible for maintaining secure password practices.
4. Intellectual Property Rights and User Content
4.1. Users bear full responsibility for ensuring that any content they share on the platform does not infringe on third-party copyrights or intellectual property rights.
4.2. Class2Class.org is not liable for any copyright violations committed by users of the platform.
4.3. By publishing educational material on the platform, users grant permission for that content to be publicly accessible, allowing other educators to use it for educational, non-commercial purposes.
5. Content and User Conduct
5.1. Users commit to responsible, educational use of the platform. Inappropriate, offensive, or rights-infringing content is not permitted.
5.2. Violations of these standards may result in content removal or account suspension. Users should report any violations to [email protected].
5.3. Teachers grant consent for the sharing of project results but retain the right to request removal upon written request. The platform maintains detailed conduct policies in a separate document.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1. Class2Class.org is provided on an “as is” basis and operates at your own risk. The platform disclaims liability for:
- Security breaches or content loss
- Unauthorized access to user accounts
- Misuse by other users
- Equipment damage or service interruptions
- Collaboration disputes between users
6.2. While Class2Class.org implements security measures, it cannot guarantee complete elimination of all risks.
7. Data Processing Agreement
Data processors include Bubble.is, Xano.com, and Mixpanel.com. Users consent to data processing under the Data Processing Agreement in compliance with the GDPR.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
8.1. Class2Class.org reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
8.2. Significant changes will receive 14-day advance notice via registered email or platform announcement. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
8.3. Users who disagree with changes may terminate their accounts within the notice period.
9. Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Copenhagen, Denmark. Legal disputes shall be filed exclusively in Danish state and federal courts, where users consent to personal jurisdiction.
