At Class2Class.org, we are always working to create a safe, welcoming, and easy-to-use platform for teachers and students around the world. Over the next weeks, we will release several updates that strengthen privacy, support responsible digital participation, and give teachers even more control.
All these improvements are designed with one goal in mind: helping you collaborate with peace of mind while supporting your students in a positive and safe environment.
New Features Coming Soon
1. A Clearer and More Helpful Profile Dropdown
We have improved the profile menu to make it easier for teachers to manage their account. The main update is the new Settings menu, now visible directly inside the dropdown when you click on your profile picture.
With this change, teachers can:
- Access their account settings faster
- Edit their profile information more easily
- Manage personal preferences without navigating through multiple pages
This small but meaningful improvement helps you save time and keeps the most important actions right at your fingertips.

2. A Transparent “Delete Account” Process
We have added a new “Delete my account” tab inside the Settings section. This update gives users a clearer and more direct way to request account deletion and understand what happens with their data.
Inside this tab, teachers will find:
- An explanation of what information will be deleted immediately
- A clear list of what will be preserved for educational continuity
- Details on how project content and messages are anonymized
- A reminder that some messages may be kept temporarily if they were reported for safety reasons
Teachers can now request account deletion directly from this page writing at [email protected]

3. New Options to Report or Close a Chat
To help teachers maintain a safe and comfortable communication space, we have added two new options inside every chat: Report user and Close chat.
These options are now clearly available in the three-dots menu at the top right of the chat window.
Report user
If you see a message that feels inappropriate, you can now report the user directly from the chat. This option allows you to send the case to our support team so we can review the situation and help keep the platform safe.
Close chat
You can also choose to close a chat. Closing a chat simply removes the conversation from your chat list, helping you keep your inbox clean and organized.
This update makes it easier to manage conversations and create a more comfortable communication experience for teachers.
These two tools give teachers more control over their communication and help keep interactions positive and respectful across the platform.

4. Stronger Protection for Students & Parental Consent
Student safety is at the center of our work. To follow COPPA, GDPR, and school requirements, the student invitation process will now include a clear parental consent confirmation.
How the flow works:
- Teachers download the Parental Consent Form from My Students.
- The form is shared with parents or guardians.
- When inviting students, teachers check a box confirming that consent has been collected.
This process helps ensure that student participation follows local and international safety standards.
Younger Students (Under 16) Will Not Have the “Connect” Section
To create a safer learning environment:
- Students under 16 will no longer access the Connect menu.
- They will collaborate only inside their projects, guided by their teacher.
- Students 16 and older will continue to access Connect normally.
This helps younger students interact safely and in structured learning spaces.

5. Clear “Private” and “Public” Labels in My Projects
To help teachers understand how visible their projects are, each project card in My Projects will now include a label:
- Public → Visible to all teachers, who can request to join
- Private → Only teachers you personally invite can see and join
This small update makes project management more transparent and helps you share your work with confidence.

6. Teacher School Name Added to Certificates
To make certificates more personal and useful for teachers, we have updated the way participating schools appear on each project certificate.
Now, when a teacher downloads a certificate:
- Their own school name will appear first in the list of participating schools.
- The other schools from the project will appear after.
This update applies to every participant who downloads the certificate, ensuring that each teacher can proudly share their school’s involvement when presenting the document to their community or administration.
It’s a small improvement that helps highlight the work and collaboration happening inside each classroom.

These updates are part of our ongoing effort to make Class2Class.org a safer, clearer, and more supportive space for teachers and students around the world. By improving navigation, strengthening data transparency, protecting younger learners, and giving teachers more control over conversations and certificates, we continue building a platform that reflects the real needs of our global community. We invite you to log in to Class2Class.org and explore these new improvements directly in your account.
