International collaboration is becoming an essential part of global education. More teachers are looking for ways to connect their classrooms with others around the world, help students develop global skills, and design projects that go beyond isolated activities.
However, starting — or improving — international collaboration can feel complex.
Where do you begin? How do you guide students? How do you design a project that is structured, safe, and meaningful?
To support teachers at every stage of this journey, we are introducing a new learning space for international collaboration on Class2Class.org.
Everything You Need, All in One Place
The Learning Space is designed as a training hub, where teachers can explore topics at their own pace and return whenever they need support.
Each topic focuses on a key aspect of international collaboration, from understanding the foundations to designing and leading global projects with students.
Inside the Learning Space, teachers will find:
What Is Class2Class?
This module introduces the foundations of our organization and the purpose behind our international collaboration approach. The reader can explore our mission, vision, the role of participants, and our commitment to creating meaningful and safe global learning experiences. It provides the context needed to understand why global collaboration matters for us and how it fits within everyday teaching practice.
About Global Collaboration
This module explains what international collaboration looks like in practice. Teachers learn how classrooms connect across borders, how collaboration unfolds over time, and what makes global projects effective and engaging. It helps educators move from abstract ideas to a clear understanding of how collaboration works in real classroom contexts.
Designing Global Projects
This module guides teachers through the full lifecycle of a global collaboration project. Using four clear phases—Project Definition, Project Execution, Project Reflection, and Project Dissemination—educators learn how to design, guide, and complete global projects with students. Practical steps, teacher and student guides and structured resources support implementation at every stage.
Our Educational Model
This module presents the pedagogical framework that guides learning on Class2Class.org. Teachers explore the COIL methodology, active learning approaches, and the competencies developed through global collaboration. The focus is on how learning is designed, how students engage, and how global projects support both academic and personal growth.
Safety & Compliance
This module focuses on creating safe and trusted global learning environments. Teachers learn about student data protection, privacy, responsible online interaction, and the role of educators in guiding safe collaboration. It provides clarity and reassurance, helping schools and teachers feel confident when connecting students internationally.

A Learning Space Designed To Grow With Teachers
The Learning Space was created with flexibility in mind. Teachers can use it as an introduction to international collaboration, a reference while designing projects, or a support resource during implementation.
Rather than following a fixed sequence, educators can:
- explore topics based on their current needs
- revisit modules as their projects evolve
- and use the resources at different moments of the school year.
This makes the Learning Space a long-term companion for teachers who want to integrate global collaboration into their practice in a sustainable and meaningful way.
