If you’ve successfully completed a “Let’s Get to know each other project, congratulations! “Work Towards the SDGs”

After completing a “Let’s get to know each other” project, this type of collaboration is the natural next step in your collaborative journey. This type of collaboration aims to:

  • Inspire students to work with international peers on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Participate in projects that promote a more sustainable future.
  • Encourage in-depth discussions and multi-session analysis of chosen SDG topics.

By engaging in this collaboration, your students will actively contribute to a more sustainable future while developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and global citizenship skills.

Topic Ideas for “Work towards SDGs”

There are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations – these ambitious targets aim to create a better, more sustainable future for all. And here’s the exciting part – your students can be part of this global movement! To spark their interest and empathy, we’ve put together a list of project ideas that align with the most popular SDGs in education:

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being

  • Exercise and Wellness Routines: Exchange physical fitness routines for home or school, incorporating traditional exercises from each country.
  • Mental Health Awareness Campaign: Create a joint campaign to raise awareness about mental health and share coping strategies.
  • Nutrition Across Cultures: Explore and compare nutritional practices and their impact on health in different countries.

SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities

  • Accessibility in Education: Showcase and discuss solutions for making education accessible to students with disabilities.
  • Women and Girls in STEM: Highlight the importance of promoting women’s and girls’ participation in STEM fields.

When you register on Class2Class.org, make sure to explore our “Resources” section filled with materials to help you design your project from scratch.  And if you’re short on time, we’ve got ready-to-use project templates that will fit seamlessly into your lesson plans.  With these tools, your students will be engaged, inspired, and ready to change the world, one project at a time!

How to Create a Project on the Class2Class.org Platform

Creating a Level 2 project on Class2Class.org is a straightforward process:

  1. Log in to your account and go to the “Collaborate” section of the platform.

2. From here, click on “New project” to display a 2- steps form, where the platform will ask you for details of the project you want to create, such as the project topic or Name, the type of collaboration, a small description,  the age of your students, when you want to star this project and the english level of your students.

3. You will also have the option to “Make your project public” so your project can be listed in the “Explore Projects” section and other teachers from the community can request to join this collaboration.

4. Once you have completed the information, a project page will be created with a “Completion Checklist”. This list will guide you on what you need to do to complete your project.

5. After you complete your project, gather all of your evidence (photos, meeting recordings, videos, presentations) and upload them to the “Board” tab. Once they are all posted, go to the “Certificates” tab and submit your project.

Once you have completed all the checks on your “Completion Checklist”, you can unlock our “Certificates” tab so that you can upload your evidence, submit your project for approval, and finally receive your certificates.

Certification

Completing projects at any type of collaboration on Class2Class.org allows for review and potential certification for students and teachers. At “Work towards SDGs” the focus is on SDGs and global issue awareness. To earn certification, provide:
